Overview

As plastic waste generation surges and greenhouse gas emissions from production, consumption, and disposal grow, pyrolysis has emerged as a key technology.

Pyrolysis processes complex mixed waste plastics (including films) that are difficult to mechanically recycle, converting them into high-quality feedstocks such as recycled naphtha and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Compared to incineration, pyrolysis significantly reduces greenhouse gases and air pollutants.

Technology Introduction

Pyrolysis, a major CR method, breaks down polymers at 400°C–600°C in oxygen-free, medium/high temperature conditions, producing recycled oil similar in quality to virgin petrochemical feedstock.
